ROHIT GIJARE is a dynamic choreographer, dancer, actor, and creator with over 15 years of
experience in the global dance and entertainment industry. Trained in Kathak, Hip Hop, Garba, Street
Jazz, Commercial Bollywood, and an array of traditional Indian folk styles, Rohit is known for his
seamless ability to blend classical precision with contemporary flair.
Rohit’s stage and screen accomplishments speak volumes about his versatility and impact. He was the
Dance Captain and an Ensemble Cast Member in Yash Raj Films’ Come Fall in Love – The DDLJ
Musical, directed by Aditya Chopra and premiered in San Diego. He also served as the Associate
Choreographer for Mira Nair’s Monsoon Wedding: The Musical, bringing vibrant South Asian
storytelling to the theatrical stage.
In the digital world, Rohit made waves as the Associate Choreographer and Lead Dancer for the viral
“Chavva” video alongside Lauren Gottlieb, captivating millions with his powerful performance. His
live performance credits include dancing at Lincoln Center for the Garba showcase with SA Dance
Company, performing with Terence Lewis at Diwali at Times Square, and assisting renowned
choreographer Nakul Dev Mahajan on an episode of So You Think You Can Dance (SYTCD).
A finalist in Dance India Dance North America, Rohit has consistently proven his artistry and
dedication to dance. From serving as the Director of Choreography for the celebrated touring show
Bollywood Boulevard (2017–2019) — which premiered at Lincoln Center — to headlining as
Choreographer and Principal Dancer for Mystic India: The World Tour, his creative leadership
continues to leave an indelible mark. He also led choreography for the NBA Halftime Show for the
Philadelphia 76ers, infusing high-energy Indian dance with a global sports stage.
Beyond the stage, Rohit has built an impressive presence as a global dance educator and content
creator, touring and teaching workshops across the USA, London, Europe, India, and more. His
magnetic teaching style and innovative choreography have earned him a loyal worldwide following.
