MONIKA SHARMA

Monika Sharma is a Los Angeles-based dancer and choreographer with a passion for storytelling and expressive movement. Growing up in the small town of Nevada, Iowa, she took every opportunity to dance, choreograph, and perform, before making the big move to Los Angeles. Her time in the Midwest allowed her to have many diverse experiences, ranging from NBA halftime shows to music videos with local indie artists. Monika grew up training with former Joffrey Ballet dancers Robert and Miyoko Thomas and has since trained with Kolanie Marks and Antoine Troupe through their programs, The Room and Troupe, training extensively in hip hop, house, and jazz funk. She is also a member of Lume, a dance and creative development program directed by Monika Felice Smith and MaryAnn Chavez that focuses on contemporary dance and choreography. Monika is excited to continue sharing her love of dance with audiences in all forms.
