Currently rooted in Los Angeles, Boundless by Amita is a dance-centric storytelling company founded by Amita Batra in February 2021. Dance & art are infinite in nature. Beyond being a dancer / choreographer rooted in an “ethnic” style or specific “genre,” Amita is a multi-disciplinary practitioner of the arts rooted in the universality of storytelling. Boundless by Amita is an extension of this philosophy.

Amita’s extensive global travel experiences deeply inform her understanding of human tendency and how that translates into movement, which then informs the methodology with which choreography and dance stories are built. A Method called - The Boundless Method. The foundations of this method are also rooted from an intersectional understanding of both the ideologies and techniques found in balletic styles as well as Kathak, the Indian classical art of Storytelling, known for it’s percussive nature with a focus on narrative storytelling and character work.

Boundless by Amita’s work extends a wide range of mediums including stage, camera, and site-specific creations.
